I've been working like crazy over here to get some new games and activities up for you to start your school year. I just finished watching a presentation from Dr. Jean Feldman and she reminded me of how important it is to make learning fun. I remember seeing her in person one of the first years of my teaching and I really think she shaped me as a teacher. All the π for her. Here are a few new games I thought you might like. is there anything better? I hope that all of you are on break by now or at least in the next few days. I was hoping to be more productive than I am, but I needed a break. I've been spending it trying to get the teenagers to spend time with me, reading and relaxing by the pool. I am always surprised at how many people love the small group time, but donβt know what to do with the rest of the students! For some reason this part just came easy to me. I loved to give them time to free write and read. I also had plenty of opportunities to practice sight words and the current and past phonics skills. I made these resources below to help teachers plan centers. Just switch out the phonics skill each week, and your center plans are done! They are easy to prep, can be used...
